Every once in a while, i go back and think about Egypt. About the pyramids, the span of time and history, the layers of civilization, changes upon changes, and the power of some edifices to withstand the impact of those changes. Is our quest to leave a mark futile? Is it immortality? Or is it perhaps the natural course of things?
